In the Beginning....
In 1988 off the kitchen table of his newly-built log home, Chris & Suzanne Rumball started to sell wood restoration products for the do it yourself builder. These folks had purchased log or siding homes and needed help in maintenance. Chris had built his log home several years before and had gained a fair amount of knowledge in the care of wood, thus started Cedar Laine Restoration. Chris soon realized that
he had found a niche with his attention to detail, love of wood & passion for environmental stewardship.

Cedar Laine uses a variety of methods to restore wood, from biodegradable corn cob to sand, glass or soda, taking care to recycle products wherever possible.
Clients can choose translucent to opaque finishes, custom colours or matching existing finishes in a wide range of colours. Cedar Laine Restoration also offers chinking services to seal drafts, discourage insects, prevent mildew and increase energy efficiency.

Chris and Suzanne take care to see that when you do business with Cedar Laine Restoration, everyone is protected. The company, which is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, has $5 million liability insurance, full WSIB coverage, and all employees undergo a police check. In addition, contracts are written and signed for every job.
