Hope you had a chance to come see us at this year’s Spring Cottage Life Show in April. Here’s how our booth looked.

Trade shows are always busy times for us, with lots of people stopping by to talk about wood restoration work they’d like done at the cottage.

Lots of you stopped by to say hello and talk about your cottage.

Things got downright hectic at times. More than two dozen visitors in total have asked us for quotations.It looks like it’s going to be a busy season.

Spring Cottage Life Show is taking place at the International Centre in Toronto the weekend of March 30 to April 1.

Spring must be approaching! We’re getting ready to head down to the big smoke for the Spring Cottage Life Show, taking place at the International Centre in Toronto from March 30 to April 3.

Come find our Cedar Laine Restoration  booth #211 in Hall 1C. We’ll be there talking to cottagers and showing off what we do, with our cob blasting video and some before and after pictures.

It’s a great time to discuss your own cottage project and look forward to the warmer weather that will be here before you know it.

“We made the request and they were happy to do it,” said Cedar Laine’s Chris Rumball. “We want to be able to offer our clients a different look.”

They expect to hear back any week now. Stay tuned to see what all the cool homes and cottages will be wearing next season.

“The materials are different but the process is quite similar,” notes Cedar Laine owner Chris Rumball. “We sandblast instead of cob blasting, and the paint is of course designed for a metal rather than a wood finish, but we’re getting really good results.”

September 2011 — You know us for wood restoration. Well increasingly we’re being asked to restore metal.

Here’s a before picture, of some metal stairs that have become rusted and unsightly with years of wear, weather and salt.

Happy summer! We’re pleased to see some good, dry weather coming up. Brightens the mood and makes our work easier here at Cedar Laine Restoration.
